Welcome to our February Newsletter
Welcome to our first newsletter of 2018!  Since returning in early January we've had the opportunity to reflect back on a terrific year for our team and get started for the year ahead. We've captured some of these thoughts in our year in review. 

This month we're excited to announce the first public offering of our 2-day Adobe Captivate Foundations course, held at Adobe's office in Sydney on February 22nd and 23rd. See below for more information on the course, as well as the free introductory webinar we're running on February 7th. We hope you can join us on both. 

Also below, you'll find links to other events we're involved with, including the AITD's eLearning Essentials and eLearning Masterclasses, and the iDesignX summit.

It's shaping up to be a great year and we look forward to hearing from you and working together in 2018! 
After much development and planning, we are delighted to announce our first ever public workshop, the Adobe Captivate Foundations two-day course, which will be held at Adobe's office in Sydney on February 22-23. 

Why are we so excited? Well, we've structured the workshop in a way which we would want to learn. What does that mean? We'll let the workshop facilitator and Adobe-certified Captivate Expert John Stericker explain it himself below. 
The course cost is for two days is $1,200 + GST and all workshop attendees will receive:
  • Course guide, written by John Stericker, Adobe Certified Captivate Expert and Instructor
  • Ongoing post course support and mentoring from John
  • Exclusive full access to our soon to be released online Adobe Captivate course which covers the classroom course content, and more.

Along with launching our first public workshop in Sydney on Feb 22-23, we are also excited to launch our first webinar of the year, aptly aimed at getting you, your colleagues and teams ready to start developing eLearning from scratch. 

Adobe Captivate for Beginners is the first of a series of hands-on webinars we'll be running regularly this year to help everyone learn the basics of designing and developing eLearning using Adobe Captivate, with each webinar led by John Stericker, our Adobe-certified Captivate Expert and Instructor. 

With an understanding of your skills and interests, we'll take a practical approach to learning, spending time on the parts that are most important to attendees and sharing tips and tricks we've learned over the years. Post-webinar we'll also share a free Adobe Captivate shortcuts reference guide with all attendees.

Learning Plan is delighted to partner with the AITD this year to extend the skills and knowledge of learning and development professionals in eLearning. 

If you're new to eLearning you might be interested in joining the AITD's eLearning Essentials course, a self-paced course that begins on February 20th. 

If you're looking to build upon your foundational eLearning skills then the AITD's eLearning Masterclass, commencing in May 2018 might be the way to go. 

Both courses will be facilitated by John Stericker.

Our friends at Webqem will be hosting a free breakfast event at the Westin Sydney on Thursday 22nd February on how to make content more engaging and drive better outcomes in 2018.

We'll be presenting at the smart learning design summit - iDesignX. This year's summit is being held at Rydges World Square Sydney and we'll be closing the day's proceedings with a presentation on "10 design tips for mobile learning that work".
